At SynBio@UNIPD, we are driven by a clear and ambitious mission: to establish the University of Padova as a center of excellence in Synthetic Biology through cutting-edge research, innovative education, and impactful public engagement.

Synthetic Biology holds enormous potential to address key societal challenges — from developing environmentally sustainable biotechnological solutions to engineering new therapies for complex diseases.

However, realizing this potential requires a coordinated and interdisciplinary effort that integrates expertise from across the life sciences, engineering, computational sciences, and the humanities.
